QTIBIPOC Identity-Affirming Therapy
If you’ve spent your sessions explaining the basics of your identity—whether kinky, disabled, BIPOC, neurodivergent, queer, non-monogamous, navigating life without labels, or all of the above—you know how exhausting it is to commit your energy to a service where you end up being the teacher.
I’m Kameryn “Yams” Rose (he/him), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #119932) serving clients in the state of California. My practice is built to provide a growing medium where you can bloom into a whole person in a world that often demands we break ourselves down into digestible labels.
Stop Explaining. Start Existing.
Mission and values
To provide accessible, culturally-informed, and identity-affirming psychotherapy for expansive populations, ensuring that BIPOC (Black & Indigenous People of Color), LGBTQIA2S+, and neurodivergent individuals receive care without losing resources to explaining their basic humanity.

What can you expect here?
A treatment plan tailored to your needs guides sessions focused on personal growth, identity exploration, and navigating transitions (or transition).
Relationship Therapy
Therapy for partners and families to build better boundaries, communication, support, and deeper understanding around identity and perspective.
Therapy specifically designed to be safe, supportive, and center the realities of BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ community members.
Open communication and accommodations are central to creating a safe space in sessions. Think, feel, and be as yourself.
Queer and Kink centered
The space for poly, LGBTQIA2S+ and kink-identified folks to explore their identities and relationships openly.
Deconstruct the impact of systemic mistreatment contained within “professional” dynamics.
Identity Exploration
Find the space and safety to explore even within restricting spaces like family homes and high-pressure professional roles.
Interdependence
Move from survival mode, code-switching and navigating within someone else’s constraints, to building your community.
Surviving Transition
Transitioning to private practice has allowed me to re-envision my full commitment to gender-affirming, kinky, and poly-literate care. Now ethics, intention, and action can live together in the same space. From challenging internalized ideas rooted in colonialism to navigating being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world, we will work together to create a life that feels authentic to you.
I specialize in serving expansive populations because these are our communities, and our realities expand far beyond the benefit of just an individual.
In addition to identity-affirming individual therapy and relationship therapy, I also provide associate therapist clinical supervision, consultation for ethical therapeutic and administrative allyship with the community (both clients and staff), and I facilitate a low-barrier peer consultation group for QTIBIPOC therapists.
Let’s find healing beyond the binary.
